The symposium was attended by a number From palm growers, experts and interested parties, the symposium concluded with the most important recommendations as follows:

- It is preferable to expedite the process of bagging palm trees, especially the branches of the first floor facing the sun’s rays, to avoid damage from ultraviolet rays.

-Regular irrigation and increasing its quantities, which compensates for excess evaporation and transpiration during the heat wave and returns to normal rates after that.

-It is preferable that irrigation be during the early morning or late evening hours.

-Avoid fertilizing during this period.

-Avoid spraying chemical pesticides, and if necessary, it is preferable to use organic pesticides or those extracted from plant extracts, such as neem oil.

-Work to dangle the stems below the level of the fronds to benefit from the shade as much as possible

-Avoid touching palm fruits during the noon hours, and field operations should be carried out in the early morning as much as possible
